My name is Kelsi York and I am a Junior at Crocker High School. I have received some special accomplishments this season. In December I made my 1,000th point. I also set a high scoring record for the Lebanon Holiday tournament. In three games I scored 86 points. The best part about this season is how my team has transformed. We went having basically two dominate players in the early part of the season to now consistently having at least four players scoring in the doubt digits and playing great team basketball. Our team chemistry is what is making the difference. I am a great candidate for your team because I will always give everything I have on the court. Not only while playing the game, but academically as well. Grades are very important to me because without good grades, I cannot play the game that has been a part of my life since Kindergarten. Not only will I give every ounce of effort I've got, but I will give that to my team as well. I believe good team chemistry is vital to success and I am willing to do anything to make that possible. I love winning, but having fun AND winning with the team I love makes it even better. I am also very aggressive. I play a lot bigger than I actually am and I'm not scared to get in there to get a rebound. One of my favorite things to do is block the biggest girl out and get an offensive foul called on her. I love taking charges and diving for any loose ball possible. I'm different from other recruits in character because I believe whole-heatedly that God should get all the glory of my success. He gave me the ability to play this great sport and that is the least I can do for Him. I have great sportsmanship, but I love getting tough and doing the little things that add up in games. I'm different from other recruits in athletics because I can play basically anywhere. I will go inside to post up, or I will step outside to shoot a three. I am mentally tough and I can and will step up in games. I'm different from other recruits in academics because I put school work first. I always try to do extra credit, and get the best grade I can possibly get. I've always been on the Honor Roll and I am part of the A+ Program in my school.
