I have played basketball for over 10 years, but I have just recently become involved in the AAU basketball program in Rockford, IL., playing for the Rockford Heat. This late start has put me at a slight disadvantage when it comes to getting in front of college coaches, but I am determined to prove that I am a worthy college basketball player. At the beginning of my high school career, I was the starting point guard but transitioned into a forward/center within the past two years due to my height. Playing for the Rockford Heat has allowed me to adapt to these positions and become more comfortable around the basket. I also bring great benefit to my teams as a forward who can rebound and take the ball up the court, being able to transition quickly and handle the ball well. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and am involved in many extracurricular activities. I feel that I will be able to transition to whatever college program seamlessly, knowing that I will work hard on and off of the court.
