Avery Anderson '11 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Avery Anderson, and I am a senior at Hinsdale Central High School. I have participated in Hinsdale Central's basketball program since my Freshman year. After a successful season as a starter on the Freshman A team, I received the "Red Devil" Award for leadership, accountability, and team spirit. I began the following year as a starter on the Sophomore team but was moved up to Varsity by Christmas time. For my performance during that season, I received the Sophomore MVP award, the"Red Devil" Award (for the second consecutive year), and a Varsity Letter. I was also selected to be co-captain for the Sophomore team. I began the most recent season as the sixth man on the Varsity team. By the end of the year, and after a lot of hard work, I was asked to start about half of our games. My passion and drive to succeed earned me the Most Improved Player Award. I hope to bring my energy and enthusiasm to the college level, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get there. The truth is, basketball means the world to me. I would love to explore the opportunity to contribute to D1 or D3 program.
