I am a 5'8'' right handed pitcher and first baseman. I play Varsity softball for McNary High School in Keizer Oregon. I throw between 57 and 60 mph. I have a fastball, changeup, drop curve, dropball, screwball, and riseball. My favorite two pitches to throw are my drop curve and screwball. I bat right handed as well. I play travel ball for the Oregon Panthers 18 Gold team, coached by Jorge Banuelos.
I competed in ASA nationals in Bloomington, Illinois at the 12A level with the Oregon Panther's, we placed 25th that year. I played 14A travel ball for the Oregon Fever. We played in the 14A Colorado Sparkler. I was nominated by my coaches to play in the All Star portion of that tournament. I started on the mound in the All star game and then received an invitation to the All American portion of the Sparkler tournament. I also started on the mound in the All American game. I then played one year at the 16A level for the N.W. Crimson Tide. After that team disbanded, I was picked up last year by the Oregon Panthers Gold team and went with them and played in the PGF Gold Nationals in Long Beach CA. This past fall I joined the Oregon Panthers Gold team. I am really looking forward to a very full exposure tournament schedule this Summer.
My favorite thing about playing softball is the teamwork and sisterhood that comes from competing at such a high level together. My favorite softball memory is when I hit my first grandslam a couple years ago at a breast cancer awareness tournament at Hoodview park in Clackamas, OR. I would love to play college softball somewhere on the West Coast. I want to find a school that has a great nursing program, and I would really like to use my athletic and academic abilities to help pay for some of that schooling. I am a team player and I never quit. I have focused very hard over the years on my composure on the mound, and also understanding and playing my role on the teams I have played on.
