Olivia Mahon '15 Recruiting Profile

Softball has been a huge part of my life for about 11 years now. I could honestly not imagine my life without it. It has taught me many life lessons. It has taught me that failure will push you to work harder to reach success and that you will fail, but it is how you react to that failure and make it into a positive situation. My goal as a student and an athlete is to work hard and never give up no matter how tough things get. Softball is like an escape when everything else is going wrong, I am truly blessed that I get to play this game every single day. Being able to control my pitcher and control the game is the best part about catching, controlling the atmosphere, speed and tempo of the game is unbelievable. 

Academics are also a very important part of my life. I am just as competitive in the classroom as I am on the field. I will always make sure I am on top of things! I will always try my hardest to do the best I can at any school work and I won't give up until I find a way to understand it. Nothing excites me more than the possibility of getting to compete both, academically and athletically at the college level.
