Halie Morgan '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Halie Morgan and I'm currently a Senior at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Lexington, KY.  I'm a right handed varsity pitcher and also play 1st base and outfield on occasion.  I've been playing softball since I was 9 years old and started out playing Rec Ball, then Travel Ball in North Augusta, SC.  I played Travel Ball from Myrtle Beach to Hilton Head, and from Florence, SC to Augusta, GA.  We moved to Thomasville, GA in 2009 and I played all over South Georgia, North Florida, and some tournaments in Alabama.  We moved to Lexington, KY in November, 2013 and I've just finished my Junior season here in KY and look forward to playing Travel Ball around here now. I played on a couple Travel Teams this summer and pitched two complete tournaments winning 1st place.  I've played on teams as a backup pitcher and was fortunate enough to compete in the NSA World Series in St. Petersburg, FL and the ASA National Championships in Salem, VA this year.  I'm very interested in playing college softball and have worked very hard on my skills and game since I was 9 years old.  I've spent many hours training and working towards the opportunity to play in college.  I work with a pitching coach and try to attend one on one pitching lessons once a week, every week.  I'm a dedicated athlete, a team player, and I believe I could be a benefit to any school, given the opportunity.  I'm a leader, a hard worker, and extremely competitive.
