After graduating from high school, I plan to attend college and pursue a career as a physical trainer/therapist. My ultimate goal is to come back to Hawaii and share my knowledge and experiences throughout the community. I plan to give back by providing health services for those in desperate need. What you will find helpful is that I use criticism to my advantage. I try to keep a positive attitude at all times, and will do whatever it takes to help me become a better athlete. I am determined and won't ever give up until I reach my fullest potential.
Coming from a small Island is what makes me different. Hardly any athletes from here are noticed because our opportunities are limited compared to everybody else. However, I am a small town kid with big city dreams. I believe that through hard work anything can be achieved. I am a very ambitious person with high expectations of myself. In my opinion there is always room for imporvement. Show up to practice with the right mind set and give your 110% effort. Envy those who are better than you, and use it as a motivation to better yourself. Most importantly, remember to honor the game. Having respect for the rules, opponents, officials, teammates, and yourself as well, is something we should all value as athletes. Although being an athlete is a very big part of my life, school will always be my first priority. I may not recieve the best grades, but I do try my best. I like to see myself as an over achiever because I'm always spending extra time studying and doing other school related things. As an upcoming senior I already have majority of the credits I need to graduate. I'm taking advantage of this extra time I have in school by taking college courses.
