My name is Mckailah Salway. I hail originally from Browning Montana. I am a Native American of the Blackfeet Indian Nation. Although I have lived in Fairbanks Alaska for the past 5 years I've also lived in multiple states as one of my parents is in the Military. I will Graduate from Lathrop High school in May of 2017. I play for the Lady Malemute Fastpitch Softball team.
Although I had planned to get my undergraduate degree here in Fairbanks, Alaska; I am open to considering other schools. I aspire to obtain my doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine. I would like to specialize in Equine Care and Therapy. I am a great candidate for a collegiate team in that I am a strong athlete both mentally and skillfully. I think and react quickly with efficiency and accuracy. I exhibit courage and the fighting spirit always. I never give up and my work ethic is solid. I can recover from any mistake and refocus instantly. I am a student of the game and ever evolving. I train and skill build year round with an assistant coach from my high school team. I was a team captain as a junior and I am currently a team captain as a senior. I am a very positive and driven athlete.
During my freshman year I did not achieve my academic goals; however, I have regained my focus and I am currently carrying a 3.2 GPA as I have always done in past years. I am cognizant that being an athlete first means being an exceptional student. I am excited and ready to play at the next level. I welcome the opportunity to be part of your team.
