I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Gainesville, Florida when I was two years old. I began my athletic career as soon as I could hold a bat. I have played or coached baseball my entire life and really enjoy getting to pass the love of the game on to a new generation. I have also played basketball and golf although not very well and I enjoy watching and respect the talent it takes to excel at both. I played baseball at Buchholz High School until sophomore year when an unfortunate knee injury ended my season. During that time off I got more into the coaching side and found that I love teaching the game more than playing. Watching an athlete take the knowledge you’ve given them and put it in action is one of the most rewarding things in life. In my free time I love watching, as my wife would say, “any sport that is on”, playing golf, swimming and spending time with my wife and three amazing kids.
My motto in life is “a stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet”. I try to take that into every interaction I have and try to make families and athletes feel as comfortable and at ease. I have a passion for helping people achieve their goals and providing the best support and guidance I can along the way. My biggest hope is that after any interaction I have had with someone they feel like I treated them like a friend, with respect and have provided them the best service possible.
