I was a great small town athlete in middle-school but was a “late-bloomer” in the size department. I was a high school golfer for the St. Xavier Tigers in Louisville, KY (PGA Tour player Justin Thomas’ alma mater). I also was part of the basketball program as a student trainer. I then went on to thoroughly enjoyed my college experience in the great city of Nashville.
My family and career brought me to the Atlanta area (Go Braves) where I have been since 1995. I am the proud dad of 2 great kids, 23 and 16 yrs old. So I have been through the college selection process once and am in the middle of it again.
Golf is still a passion of mine, as well has relaxing with my beautiful girlfriend and our 2 dogs, Myla and Frisbee. I still love following my Vanderbilt Commodores even during the hard times but have adopted the Georgia Bulldogs as well (my son graduated from there and my niece is there now…so no, I am not a fair-weather fan).
I have been involved in youth sports both with my own kids for years. I have also officiated high school basketball and have worked with high school sports programs in a previous position.
Helping student athletes achieve their dream of playing is a great honor for me.
