Three of the most important values that were taught to me by my mom that speak to my character that I live by each day are Respect, Dedication to Family, and Service. Because of these values, I've become driven to work really hard to accomplish my goals and help others achieve their goals by helping my Middle School clean up Rockaway Beach after Hurricane Sandy destroyed the beachfront; helping other fellow runners as a volunteer at the Long Island Marathon; or volunteering at a nearby Physical Therapy office that helps injured athletes and others heal.
There are lots of distractions out there, but I've been able to remain focused, maintain good grades, and perform at a high level in my track events even though I've only been running for about a year. Track is new to me, and I really enjoy it, and I am very coachable. With the right direction and coaching, I'm sure that I can become a better runner and improve my times.
I would like the opportunity to study at a college that's the right fit for me and hope with my talent and potential that I can earn an athlethic scholarship to help pay for my college education.
I believe my family that is small, close, and extremely supportive of each other is exactly what a Team should be, and that's what I can bring to a team with a positive, confident, and supportive attitude (ego aside) and always treating my team mates as Family on and off the field.
