Personal Statement

My future goal is to attend a highly regarded university in the Western United States to major in Pre Medicinal Studies, all while competing in Track and Field. These goals will allow me to pursue medicine in the healthiest and happiest way possible. They will allow me to research at my own pace, as well as compete at an elite level. As a team member I know it is a team effort throughout the season, and that charisma is important when developing athletes, regardless the sport. In conclusion, I try to make my positive attitude impact others’ lives for the better.

What makes me different is my attitude and hard work ethic in the classroom and on the track. Currently, I’m an academic scholar with a high grade point average and an 'obsessive' need to study. I strive to expand my knowledge and to increase my athletic ability. Personally, I have a knack for learning new things, and that has always led me to good places. So, I will continue to learn and work to chase my goals.

With my best regards,

Chase Kenneth Smith

  • Warm Ups: Active Stretching in hamstrings, hips, goin, and quadraceps. Then, buttkicks, high knees, and claws. These make up the Ostrich: and exadurated running motion. Done always with a pole in hand. Next, 20 steps in 20 meters, 20 steps in 25 meters and lastly, 20 in 30 meters. Next is the Ostrich Cadence, where I run 6 lefts in Ostiches and the chance the tempo into 3 lefts in high knees, which comes out to be a 9- step approach.
