Well basically, running has changed my life. I first started running when I was a sophomore doing Outdoor Track. My brother did distance when he was in High school, so I figured I would try distance too. It took some time but I eventually got better at the sport and by the end of my Sophomore year I was the fastest miler on the team. I then did 3 seasons of running my junior year. For Indoor season, I improved sightly and got 2nd Team for my county in our Relay. My outdoor season I started to break out a bit, getting my mile time from a 4:50 to a 4:36. This season for Cross Country I had another break out, I broke 2 school records with times of 16:24 for a 3 mile, and a 16:55 for a 5K. I plan on getting 3 records in indoor, and 3 in outdoor. I'm not aiming to break records but to become a Regional Champ in any event or a State Champ. It will take a lot of hard work but that's what I was doing this summer, putting in 250+ miles. My personality is laid back. I take constructive criticism well and I'm always looking for ways to improve, whether it's on the track or in the classroom. In the classroom I pay close attention to my teachers and I'm always interacting in the classroom with the lessons we do. I'm a very active student and I'm involved in Business clubs such as FLBA and Academy of Finance. I'm looking forward to moving to the next level because I think that there is still room for more improvement.
