Hi my name is Joshua Alabre and I am a Junior at Classical Magnet. I have multiple dreams and goals I want to accomplish, but i will tell you a few of them. I want to work in the criminal justice field, specializing in forensics pathology. My other dream is to major in athletic training because I am fond of sports, especially track and field. I also want to go to the Olympics for the 800m. This is the reason why I want to do track and field for outdoor and indoor season. When I started doing track my freshmen year, I did the 800m and I had no idea what to do in this event. When i finished the event I ran a 2:11. It was my first time running the 800m and ever since then I trained for this event to be the best at it. My time for the 800m is now 2:08, but I want to bring it down to a 1:58 by the end of my senior year.
For me, education and sports is my life, not only do I love track, but I crave to learn and keep my grades on top. I don't want coaches thinking I don't care about my academics . I want coaches to know that I will always stay on top of my grades and track and field no matter what. It's like what my parents always says," Student first, athlete later." Outside of school I love playing the guitar, hang with my friends, and read mystery books.
