It is a been a dream of mine to swim at the collegiate level. One thing that keeps me going is knowing that hard work and dedication always pays off. I am a huge competitor, always wanting to get better, both academically and physically. I am very dedicated to whatever I pursue, I bring forth a good mindset and positive attitude. I am teachable and will listen and implement coaching instruction. I am a team player, whether it be stepping up to lead a relay or giving up my spot when it is best for the team. It has been so exciting to swim in the state meet both my sophomore and junior year. When faced with difficult situations, I face them head on, never taking the "easy" way out in or out of the pool. I have been and will be team captain of my high school swim team, and take pride in the fact I am the only returning captain in my senior year. Currently I am spending my summer away from my family swimming with the Dallas Mustangs. I hope this helps me improve my times and shows my dedication and love for the sport. I am a part of the National Honor Society at my high school, taking part in a lot of volunteer work and helping out my society. I am a Christian and belong to a local church in Nacogdoches. I am excited to persue my dream of swimming at the next level.
