Nathan Prescher '16 Recruiting Profile

Never would I have thought, being a basketball player for the majority of my life, I could achieve success in swimming in a matter of four months.  Qualifying and swimming in the Iowa High School State Swim Finals and Iowa Club State Swim meet, as well as, Sectionals coming up in Wisconsin this month, has been one of the biggest achievements of my life, thus far.  I have developed a passion for swimming and a strong desire to continue to push myself even further to reach my full potential in this amazing sport.  

I have always been a leader and a strong advocate of team sports.  I am extremely competitive and motivated to work hard and continue to develop my skills, and feel I would be an asset to any swim program.  I am very coachable and will devote myself to being one of the hardest working swimmers you will find.

I have achieved success in academics and personal growth.  My recent exposure to a semester in the Rockies with the prestigious National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) was a game changer for me in my personal growth and development.  I believe that the skills and life lessons I learned through this experience will set me apart from others, and continue to help me maintain a mature perspective and team player mentality.  I have also enjoyed being a part of Future Business Leaders of America, and look forward to studying Business or Communications in college in order to pursue and have a successful career in the business world.
