Personal Statement
I started swimming when I was 12. It all began with swim lessons at a public YMCA. After a few months, I joined a club team. Ever since then, I loved swimming and loved getting better. I am a key part of any team because I know how to make people laugh and to push them. Diversity in the pool has helped me be a well-rounded swimmer because I can adapt to about any situation. Coaches can use me in relays as well as individual events. Due to my specific set of skills and talent, I am a college swimmer. My goal in life is to be the best student-athlete I could be and to make a name for myself. I will be the first person in my family to go to an American university and I want to make them proud.
