Personal Statement

What I do outside of the classroom reveals a lot about me. I have devoted 11 years to my sport of swimming.  I love it!  I train 6 days a week, 18 hours weekly.  In addition, during high school season I swim in the morning with the team, and compete at the CIF  D2 level. This will be my 4th year as a Varsity swimmer at Santiago High School, in Corona, California.  I  work out with a personal trainer three days a week for the last four years.   I am  proud to say that I maintain my grades throughout this rigorous training schedule.  It demonstrates my determination and dedication to what is important in my life.   My goal is to earn a swimming scholarship and compete throughout college as I attain my Bachelors Degree.  After earning my Bachelors Degree, my plan is to pursue a career in Firefighting. Swimming has taught me to take risks, pick myself up after defeat and move forward, be encouraging to others, and think outside of myself for the team.  These qualities will help me succeed in college and then in my career as a firefighter.   Because I have a true passion for my sport and committment to my goals,  I believe that I will be an asset in the Collegiate arena.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
