I want to further my education and obtain a college degree. At this time, my major is undecided. I would also like to continue playing soccer at the college level since it has been an important part of my life for the past 13 years.
During soccer games as well as practices, I am a team player. I do not find the need to keep the ball to myself, I feel it is important that working together as a whole is more beneficial than just having a few “star players.” I am also looking to improve my soccer skills so that I can continue to grow and better myself as a player. I give my whole heart during both games and practice so that I can continue to play the game that I love.
I am a very dedicated individual. I am outgoing, strong-willed, and dependable. However, I am always looking to improve myself. My first two years of high school, I struggled and did not take my academics as seriously as I should have. I now regret my decision but have learned from it. Since the passing of my older brother and mentor, in July of 2013, I have come to realize that I need to pursue my dreams because life can be changed in an instance. I have used the unexpected passing of my brother to ignite a flame within me to persevere during these trying times and to honor my brother the best way I can.
