Ivan Lopez '16 Recruiting Profile

My goals for college are to play at the highest level possible, I've always played at the highest level. I believe I can handle the pressure of academics and playing college ball. I am a good holding defensive mid and believe I can make a difference to the college I go to! I am different from others because not only can I defend very well but I also play attacking mid, I played attacking mid for club and I believe I can score goals and make a lot of assists when needed. I am a player who will play from center back up to forward if the coach wants me to play. I am captain of my high school team and club because I am vocal and I lead by example and because I never give up I raise my teammates heads when its a tough loss. Other then being a great teacher and learner on the field I am not really at the greatest academic point but that is because I didn't realize how important school was in the recruiting process and getting into a good college until the end of sophomore year. But junior year I turned it around and got a 3.0 and this year I'm striving for a 3.5 and above. Also I am constantly taking ACT practice tests so I can be ready for the retake and get the highest number possible. I just want to prove that it was the old me and I am now a mature and responsible person in class and out of class.
