Alex Heilmann '12 Recruiting Profile

I play center back for the USSDA Chivas USA 17/18s, one of the top academy teams in the country.  Last season, ending in June of 2011, I was team captain and starting center back for the USSDA Cosmos Academy West 15/16s team. I have won four Cal South National Cup Championships, two Region IV Championships and two Surf Cup Championships.  Prior to playing Academy, I played in Cal South's Premier Division.  I am a versatile player with experience at the highest competitive levels. At center back,  I'm very adept at winning and distributing the ball and I am also a skilled target forward with strong finishing skills. My style is a possession oriented game and coaches describe me as one of the stronger and smarter players on the field. I played on the top ranked team in the country in my early teen years (CFC Italia III) and was selected to ODP. I received the Coach's Award my sophomore year on my high school varsity team. My goal is to utilize my solid grades and exceptional soccer skills to pursue a top collegiate soccer program. I am open to considering a variety of schools and locations.
