Tanner Dixon '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tanner Dixon. I am 6 foot 1 and 215 pounds and a sophomore in high school. I have played for competitive elite lacrosse programs since I was in sixth grade including being selected for the New Jersey U13 and U15 lacrosse teams. When I am on the field, I make sure I am always communicating and leading my defense. Along with the goalie, I consider myself the leader of the defense whenever I am on the field, especially in man - down and fast break situations. When it comes to check selection, I consider myself very patient but aggressive. My favorite check is the poke check because it sets the tone for what the attackman will have to experience throughout the game. I am very coachable and will listen to my fellow teammates. When I notice mistakes in my play I immediately attend to them to make myself better. For example, once I noticed that my checks were getting slower, so i filled my shaft with sand and did various exercises to make my hands faster. I will do anything to make myself better and improve my team. It has been my dream to play college lacrosse since I was in fourth grade. I do not have a preference on where I want to go to school yet. All i know is that I want to go to a solid lacrosse school. I am open to any school that has a solid lacrosse program and a solid academic program as well. My goals for this year is to play lacrosse at a high level at my school and summer team and help them to greatness.
