My main goal is to become the best student and team member that I can be. In my academic schedule for my upcoming senior year I have AP classes. I'm finishing my sophomore year with a GPA of 4.5 for the semester and an overall GPA of 3.96. I'm currently the Vice President of my class , VP of Finance for DECA and a National Honor Society member. As academics are very important to me, so is lacrosse. I've been playing for almost 10 years. I have developed some of my closest friends being part of those teams . I have played on the 'True Michigan (State & National) teams for the last 3 years. I currently travel over an hour each way, twice a week to practice. I also spend about 5 hours a week on individual training and wall ball. Although I have played almost every position, my main position is defense. I am 6 foot 4 inches tall and weigh 215 lbs. I like to consider myself a field "General". Most goalies trust me with the fire calls and to be the voice on the field. I have been a member of my Varsity lacrosse team since 9th grade and have been the Captain the last 2 years The last two seasons I have lead the team to winning seasons which is the first back to back in the schools history. We were also recognized and awarded the "Michigan Sportsmanship Award" from the Michigan Referee Association last season and I was awarded All State 3rd Team honor, All State Academic honors & KLAA All conference honors this season. I have high expectations of the players and myself to manage our time between practices and homework throughout our season. I also encourage all of my team members to be involved in our youth lacrosse programs to earn the respect of our peers and lacrosse families in our community. I implemented a Mentor program for all of our varsity players to mentor middle school players. Leadership and being a role model for other students is very important to me. A large part of being a good leader is encouraging hard work, good time management, dedication, understanding others, and empathy. I love this game and the virtues it has given me through the years. I look forward to learning something new about the game and myself in my college years. When concluding my college career, I want to be proud of the education I received and also proud of the lacrosse team I was a part of. With a balance of these two, I am confident that I will be a well rounded man and I will be ready for the next chapter of my adult life.
