I have dyslexia which makes any reading and writing assignments incredibly hard for me. I am also a slow processor and it takes extra time for me to learn new things. With that being said, once I have learned something it stays with me forever. Even though I have not won any academic awards I do feel like I have been victorious in my academic pursuit. I have had to learn it takes me triple the amount of time to complete my projects than my peers. I have also had to learn how to time manage. It is my hope to go to a four year college and be successful academically and also be successful on the lacrosse field. Lacrosse has kept me motivated when I have wanted to quit school. I am a great candidate because I am flexible and know how to work hard to accomplish goals. I know how to persevere and overcome adversity. My challenges are also my rewards which makes me unique. This year I have been rewarded with leadership opportunity to serve as my Varsity Lacrosse Team Captain.
