Lachen Reid '20 Recruiting Profile

I consider myself a defensive defenseman who has the ability to contribute offensively. Depending on my opponents, time of game and type of game, I know when to stay back and keep pucks away from our net, and when to lead rushes and create plays. My best aspects are grit, intensity, defensive positioning, the ability to cause turnovers and then make a good first pass to start a rush the opposite direction. Offensively with the puck on the blue line I am calm and able to get shots to the net, but also find teammates in shooting positions. I am playing on the second power play unit currently, and my role is to hover around the back door and crash the net when the opportunity is there.

I can offer my absolute hardest work every game. I have the mindset that no one will get the puck or themselves past me. I can also offer that I will continue to work as hard as possible every day to improve all areas of my game.
