Hunter Huang '13 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm from Austin, Texas and I am interested in playing college anywhere, prefereably in Texas. I am planning on becoming a biomedical engineer and/or enter the medical field. I am currently working as an Registered Nurse Assistant (RNA) at Cedar Park Medical Center and I have enrolled in a total of 8 AP Classes (Currently: English IV, US Gov, Economics, Calculus AB, Physics C) I carry a 75 stroke average and a 3.7 GPA. I am fairly small (especially in Texas), and because of that, my short game is one of my strengths. I average 26 putts per round and have a 74 save rate. It is safe to say that I am a "working man" on the course. My biggest weakness is ball striking, where I only average 7 greens in regulation a round. That is partly due to my length, but my workouts are closing the gap and allowing shorter clubs in. My biggest strength is my ability to save rounds. I have a tendency to start out rough, playing my first 5 holes over, but finishing the rest under, putting me back into the swing of things. I had a rough summer of 2012, I did not play well for most of the summer, playing with an average of 79, making it hard to be recruited. Although I did not perform as expected, it was a humbling for me and I took it as a learning experience. I now use it as something to build upon and grow mentally. Hit em Straight, and Be the Ball
