I would like to attend a 4 year college with a competitive golf program. I would make a good candidate for any golf team because I am a hard worker, a true team player, who is a quiet leader and gets along well with others. Being the middle child of 5 siblings in my family has allowed me to learn to be caring, independent, and ambitious. I would have been captain of my team at White Plains High School this year, but my family moved, and I transferred as a junior to Harrison High School where I was the number one player for our team. I am a consistent golfer, who loves and respects the game of golf. I practice daily. I play with composure and focus on playing 1 hole and 1 stroke at a time. I never give up. My goal was to make the state team last year, and I did. I placed 8th out of 60 players in my section to make the Section 1 Team. I placed 28th out of 99 players in the NY State tournament at Cornell University, and my Section 1 Team won the NY State Championship. After 4 putting the first hole in round 2, I was able to stay focused and finish with a 76 for the round. My second goal was to make the Section 1 Team again, and I did. I placed 2nd in our section and competed once again at the NY State tournament at Cornell University, and our section came up 6 strokes short of a win but placed 2nd. I placed 32nd out of 99 players. The conditions were extremely cold and my 2nd round was in heavy rain for the first 9 holes. I was +5 after 2 holes and +9 after 9 holes. Being a true team player, I remained focused and shot 1 under in the back 9 and finished my high school career with 2 birdies.
