January 2015Personal Statement
I am looking forward to a college experience that allows me to focus on finance and economics while playing for a competitive golf program. Competing in and winning tournaments is something that has inspired me since I began playing junior events. The excitement and challenges that come with team and individual play motivate me to compete and work hard to improve my skills. My tournament record thus far has been very solid, and I have high expectations for the 2015 season. I would love the chance to play golf at the highest level for a program that allows me to leverage my existing skills, while at the same time learning from other players and coaches. Whether its golf or academics, my work ethic is very disciplined and my results in both have been positive. I look forward to have the opportunity to be able to contribute the strength of my game along with my positive mental attitude to make a positive impact at your school.

- At Blue Heron Pines I did not play great the first day but still managed to scrap out a 79. The course was playing very long, and the pins were in very tough places the first day. The second round the course wad a little more lenient with some pins and I took advantage. I shot an even par 72 the second round to finish with a 7 over par total (151) I did end up winning this tournament by a substantial amount.

- I had a one shot lead after the first day of this tournament with a 75. This was with a tough back 9. After the front 9 of the second round I still 3 over for the tournament with an even par 36. I made the turn and struggled on the back and came in with a 5 over 41 for 77 and a 152 total. This was good enough for second place.

- This is an amateur invitational that is at my home course every year. The field consists of the best amateur's in the metropolitan area. The course was set up as a par 72 at about 7000 yards, with greens rolling about 13. I had a two round total of 152. (77-75) I tied for 19th out of 82 people.

- My high school golf team was invited to this tournament when they saw the success we had as a team over the corse of this year. There was a team aspect and an individual aspect of this tournament. In the Individual part of the tournament I placed 4th out of 50 with a 3 day total of 229. The conditions were very tough being that we were in Scotland there was a lot of different things that we had to get used to.
