July 2016Personal Statement
As a student athlete, I appreciate hard work inside and outside the classroom. I am looking to take that to the next level and compete on a varsity-level college golf team. Academics are important and I am looking to obtain a degree in business while playing college golf. I am a strong student, with a 3.9 grade point average through my junior year of high school. I have had a solid 2016 high school golf season, with three first-place finishes, three second-place finishes, a third-place finish, and a top-five finish in the Upper Peninsula Golf Finals (Michigan High School Golf Association-MHSAA). I led my high school team with a 76 scoring average. I have also had a strong start to my summer tournament schedule, taking first place in my first two summer tournaments. I have a rigorous summer and fall tournament schedule and look forward to improving my game, lowering my scores, and competing on a college golf team after high school.
