Joseph Brandt '10 Recruiting Profile

I am 6'5" and weigh 185 lbs. I started golf in the spring of 2007 with my scores not being competitive at all. As the years went by I found my self dropping 5-10 strokes per year. As of now I am shooting in the mid 70's. My Junior year of high school my team won the regional tournament and I placed 11th as an individual. My team won three other varsity tournaments that year. We take 5-6 guys per tournament and we only can keep the top four scores at the end of the day. MY SCORE CONTRIBUTED IN EVERY TOURNAMENT I PLAYED IN. I am currently the team captain, and every year I am the most improved golfer on the team due to my work ethic towards golf. I would like to go to a school with tremendous academics and the opportunity for me to play competitive golf. I prefer to go to school in the south or west coast due to the warmer climate, but I can certainly settle for a colder climate school. The size of the school does not matter as much to me as long as the academics are top notch and I can play golf. Something that is also very important to me is the players that will be on my team. I will be spending alot of time with them so I want to make sure that they are fun people to be around. Last but not least I would like to have an enjoyable, easy going but serious about his work, coach.
