I am 17 years old and a Senior at Grand Terrace High School. My interest in golf started when I was around 6 years old by hitting golf balls in the front yard. I tried other sports growing up but as I entered my eighth grade year, I found I still enjoyed playing golf. I played my freshman year of high school, and during my sophomore year I found that the new high school that I would be attending did not have golf as a sport. My parents along with other parents got together and were able to file paperwork with the school district and get approval to have a golf team at the new high school. During my junior year, I made it to CIF and won First Team All League, and the golf team won League.
I have played in tournaments with SCPGA and currently compete in Future Champions tournaments. I frequently focus on strengthening my golf skills at Inland Golf Academy in Riverside, CA.
My grades and playing golf are important to me. I would like to go to a college where I can excel and challenge myself athletically and academically.
