Cy Austin '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball ever since I could walk and it has been my dream to play for four more years after High School. In order to do that, I am well aware of the sacrifice and commitment it takes to reach that dream. The past two years have been the toughest for me as a player because I was put in a very tough environment. My sophomore year I started every game with no varsity experience and quickly realized the speed of the game. As soon as the game slowed down for me, I flourished. I've learned a lot about my character because we didn't win a lot of games. It takes a special person to look in the mirror and decide you want change. This past summer is where this change began. Only losing one game, I led my team through a busy and successful summer. I am a player my teammates have always looked to for guidance, leadership, and productivity. I know a lot about the game of basketball beyond just being a player. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge wherever I end up.
