Personal Statement

Hello my name is Desmond Scott. I am a 5'9" senior from Plano, Texas. I will be graduating from Plano East Senior High School in the class of 2011. I am a motivated young man and a extremely hard worker on and off the basketball court. I have a 0.000 GPA and a 0000 score on my SAT. I have serviced 85 hours of community service at an Salvation Army (soup kitchen), Leaders of Tomorrow (soup kitchen), Plano East Sports Youth Clinic and the Plano Sports Authority. I have also participated in special programs outside of school which have helped me in determining my major. These programs include "The Accounting Career Awareness Program" at SMU and "Black MBA Leaders of Tomorrow" at SMU (National MBA Program). As a member of the National MBA Program, I have participated in a number of National MBA College Case Studies. This has allowed me to travel around the United States gaining valuable insight and experiences in the business world. I played basketball for Plano East Senior High School for the past 3 years as a point guard. I have many good attributes that will be an asset to a team which include speed, basketball IQ, and strength. I have also played for Tony Johnson's Dallas Mustangs (AAU), one of the elite basketball clubs in the country. At practice I am one of the first to arrive and the last one to leave. I am looking for a small D1 or a big D2 school that can provide a great business curriculum as well as a growing basketball program. I am also open to a D3 or NAIA schools. I am a leader and I look forward to being a part of your basketball program and your school.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
