Kameron Thurmond '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kameron Thurmond and I will be a senior at Franklin Monroe High School in Arcanum, Ohio during the 2016-2017 school year.  My only sport I participate in,  is basketball.  I have been been asked to play football, and have decided to focus solely on basketball.   This will be my first year of playing Franklin Monroe, as I transferred there mid season last year.  I am a true center that controls the middle with my size.  I am a solid 6 ft 10 in, and 245 lbs.  My work ethic is outstanding, as I am focused to become faster, stronger, and quick off my feet.  My work ethic is proven in the fact that I have lost 70 lbs since my freshman year.  My strengths are setting screens, defense, and ball hedging defense.  I love the defensive end of the floor, and I am very vocal to my teammates, calling switches, and hedging their man until they recover.  I am a team devoted player, a focused student, and I have great character.  I am a true teammate, true friend to all, and most of all true to myself.  Most would say that I am very mature for my age.  I love to learn, and I am very coachable.  I look forward to showing and telling any coach my attributes on and off of the floor.
