I have always dreamed of playing college basketball since I was a younger. Even as a toddler shooting on my Fisher- Price goal I loved playing the game! But along with basketball I want to earn my degree because education comes first.
I believe I can bring a true point guard mentality to the court. My objective is to make sure the ball is in my hands so that I can get the ball to the right person at the right time. My High school coach, John Huggins, stated, "you are the only player on the team with a point guard's mentality. I have been impressed with your communication. " I look to pass before I shoot, but if I am open or have a shot, I will shoot. When the game is on the line I want the ball, to either shoot or find that perfect player to make the game winning shot. I have had this opportunity several times in my basketball career.
I am an honor roll student and have excelled in my honors classes in my freshman year while playing sports. I am active in my church and volunteer at my local children's sports club. I maintain my positive and confident attitude on and off the court. I am always trying to improve my game and stay a positive and productive roll model.
