Chris Cosgrove '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Chris Cosgrove and early on in my life basketball transitioned from a game into my way of life.It is this passion I have for the sport that drives me to perform at the highest level that my physical and intangible tools will allow. I aspire to obtain a degree in communications, which I believe will allow me to continue working closely with the sport, long after my career on the court is over. I maintain that any institution that will allow me to play the sport I love at the collegiate level is worth looking into. I am in my sophomore year and I will start as the varsity point guard all four years of my high school career. An important part of my game that is simply impossible to express in a paragraph is the unique set of intangible skills I possess. The responsibility of making sure that my team operates as a cohesive unit lies squarely on my shoulders as a point guard. I need to combine my leadership qualities with my understanding of the game plan, in order to put my team in the best possible position to win games. I have amassed a great deal of experience very early in my career, and hope to be a seasoned veteran by graduation. I believe the best part of my game is my ability to effectively distribute the ball which creates opportunities for us as a team. When I am at my best, I have the ability to control the pace of the game, and overcome any trials or tribulations I may face.
