Dewrell Tisdale Jr '13 Recruiting Profile

To all who will read,
My name is Dewrell "JD" Tisdale Jr., a 6'4.5", 180 lb. junior at Swartz Creek High School in Michigan.  I recently transferred from Flint Northern High School in an effort to better my educational experience.  At Northern I was a two-year varsity player and voted as team captain my sophomore year.  I received honorable mention all Saginaw Valley League honors in that year as well.  At the conclusion of my sophomore year I enjoyed a breakout summer AAU season with the Mid Michigan Lakers AAU club, averaging 20+ points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals per contest leading my team to it's second ever tournament victory at the Michigan Memorial Classic.  I believe in the mantra that true hard work is the key to success.  One of my favorite sayings is "Good, better, best; don't ever rest until your good is better than your best." 

It is my dream to play basketball in college while also alleviate the financial stress from my mom by earning a scholarship to do so.  In an effort to reach that goal, I am and will continue to work harder than anyone out there.  I am very open to the location of the school I will attend, but am definitely looking to compete at the highest (D-1) level.  I believe that I will be able to contribute as a freshman and would love the opportunity to compete for playing time from the start.  Ultimately, I want to make my mom and dad (deceased) proud in all I do, while keeping my faith in God at the forefront of my actions.
