Dakota Wheeler '17 Recruiting Profile

My main goal ever since I began playing basketball was to play at the college level. As a basketball player I have strong ball handling skills, very good court vision and a high basketball IQ. I am a team leader both through my actions and communication on the court. I am continually trying to improve my game with practice so I can compete at the highest level possible. I feel one of my most important attributes as a basketball player is that I am very coachable and listen to advice that is given to me. Academically I work hard to sustain a high GPA and am always looking to be challenged in the classroom. I am an active member in SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and volunteer at community athletic events. Ideally I want to find a school that fits me both academically and athletically where I can pursue a career after college and that will allow me to play at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a role model to all the kids in my community and show them that hard work really does pay off.
