Personal Statement

In the near future, I aspire to impress enough coaches to be offered a Division I or II scholarship. I have played competitive basketball since I was 10 years old and would love to play in college and then, if possible, play professionally in the US or overseas. But, being realistic about how few players join the professional ranks, I want to make sure I earn a degree. My major is undecided but I am leaning towards a information technology or one of the sciences.  Financial assistance will be very important to me during the recruiting process. I prefer to play as close to home as possible so my family and friends might be able to see me play, but would be willing to play farther away to gain more financial assistance.
After college, it would be great to begin a career that I enjoy. I also look fowardr to earning a pilots license and owning a small plane.

  • I played about 15 games for this team after hurting my knee in the second to the last high school varsity regular season game. After playing in five games during one weekend, my knee cap hurt the following Monday. So, a surgeon scoped my knee and removed a little synovial tissue found to be impinging my knee cap movement. After the procedure, the physician said I was as good as new and would not experience any effects on my basketball career, but was restricted from playing anymore last season. I average 20 ppg. My game high was 32 points.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
