My goal and dream is to be able to play competitive basketball while getting a higher education. I plan to major in business with a specialization in economics. I am fun to be around and am a great teammate and team player. I always do my best to motivate others with my positive, never give up attitude. I think of myself as a leader and lead by example. I am an extremely hard worker and will do whatever it takes to keep improving my game to be the best that I can be. I feel that I am still somewhat of a raw player with a lot of room to improve and get better.
I am a very coachable player and always respect my coach and any advice that he gives me so that I can get better, but more importantly, help my team. I always put the team before myself and would do anything for my team and teammates. I took roughly 25 charges this season, sacrificing for my team in order to get the possession and/or the shot called off because of an offensive foul on the other team. I am very dedicated to basketball, it has been part of my life since I was in elementary school.
This year past offseason I trained hard to improve my game and I went from averaging 2 points per game my sophomore year to 13.4 points per game this year, my junior year. I had 5 games over 20. I know I still have a lot more potential to improve and get better. I am also a very good shooter, I shot over 30% from three, made 46 three pointers, and was one of the best three point shooters in my area, my goal is be in the 40% (3 range) range next year and my shot continues to get better. My overall shooting percentage is roughly around 51%. I also attack the rim very well and can penetrate the lane and score, dish it off to an open teammate, and draw fouls. I shoot well from the free throw line as well, shooting roughly around 80%. I also rebound the ball extremely well, averaging about 8 rebounds a game. I am taking two honors classes at my school, which has a challenging, college preparatory curriculum.
