Quinton Lilley '11 Recruiting Profile

At 6'4" and 205,I'm a strong large sized guard who plays every possesion with a passion and purpose. I'm 18 year old, but I play with a maturity that is far beyond my years.I spent my freshman year at Cal State University East Bay, earning a 3.5 GPA, playing in every game and starting in several. While I am naturally a wing player, I was challenged with the task of playing against power forwards taller and heavier than me and I rose to the occasion. I am eager for the opportunity to transfer to a program that will encourage me to use the skills and talents that I did not have the opportunity to use as a freshman. Many scouts and coaches first compliment about me is that I understand the game very well and have a high basketball IQ I'm a great rebounding guard and I'm an excellent passer whether I'm on the move or standing still. I am the ultimate team player who looks to keep his teammates involved in all facets of the game. Over my high school years I have been called a "stat stuffer" because I fill the stat sheet in multiple areas during a game. Since greatly improving my agility through my personal and athletic training I have become a strong defender, and I take joy in guarding the opposing team's best Wing or Guard. I am a man with many "C"s. I have character and confidence. I am coachable, a christian, competitive, cooperative, congenial and charismatic. Basketball is and will always be my first love, but I am a well rounded individual with interests in world affairs, my community, music and diverse cultures. I will compete to the end to be victorious but I will not compromise my integretity or faith to win. Continuing my education and earning my degree is invaluable to me and my family. I am a natural leader but never too proud to follow strong leadership. I believe I will be a great asset to any basketball program or University that I attend.
