My name is Bayani Salinas. I am 6'2", 180lb Senior at the EDGE Academy (Engineering Design for Green Enviornment) at Antioch High School in Antioch, CA. I've been playing basketball for 15 years, it is my lives passion. I'm a diverse, hard working, easily coachable player with a high Basketball IQ. I play shooting guard and small forward. I am starting guard and team captain of my varsity team, and have been for 2 years.
I am an honor roll student athlete taking several AP and Honors courses. I am a member of the John's Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, testing in the top 5% in the Nation. As well as a member of the University of Berkeley Early Academic Outreach Program.
I am a 2nd degree brown belt in Kenpo Karate. I enjoy traveling with my family. As well as learning new songs on my ukulele.
I aspire to play basketball in college at a school that will both challenge my academics as well as propel my game. I am open to any opportunities that will allow me to continue to grow on and off the court.
I am leaning towards studying Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, or Physical Therapy. Therefore am looking for a college with a strong health sciences department where I can pursue my undergraduate degree in Pre-Med, Biology, or in a Pre-Physical Therapy program.
