I just completed my second season as Starting Varsity Quarterback. This past season our team started out looking like we had a shot to make a deep run into state plaoffs. Losing 9 players to injury in the first few weeks of our season had everyone, but us, thinking otherwise. Starting out our season 2-4 we were out of the playoff conversation completly. We were the only ones who believed in ourselves. I learned so much as a team captain navagating through that experience. Our heart and our bond took us to the quarterfinals, finishing the season in 5th place.
Some of my best threats as a quarterback besides my abilities from the pocket, and my abilities on run designed run plays, are my abilities to create and extend plays by using my legs, as well as my mental toughness. It is nearly impossible to get in my head and I am very good at keeping cool in chaotic situations. I have had to adapt from having exceptional receivers last year to fresh guys this year. It's been great for my run game.
I am not super vocal but I lead through my actions and am not afraid to tell others what their standards need to be for our team to be successful. Last season I was voted a team captain, I am the only junior to hold that honor in my schools history.
I am interested in studying either architecture, engineering, or radiology as of now.
I am involved with the Young Life youth organization.
