Derek Chilcoate '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Derek Chilcoate. I am a Senior at Adna High School.  In January 2016, I transferred to Adna High School.  Prior to my transfer, I attended Winlock High School, I was a starting player on the Varsity football team. Our Cardinal team may not have won every game but my dedication and commitment to the football program allowed me to grow in to the outstanding Running Back that I am today. I plan to continue my football career at Adna High School as the schools starting Senior Running Back and Defensive Back.

I played my Freshman year with the Cardinals on the Varsity Defensive team and worked my way up to starting Varsity Running Back. During my junior year with the Cardinals, I was named All League in Offense and Defense. I was also named Prep Athlete of the Week.

I love football but also love spending time with my family and with friends. I keep myself very active; I play baseball, work out 4-5 times a week and work on football skills on the days I am not in the gym. Giving back to the community is something I really enjoy doing. I’ve helped with several little league football and baseball teams as well as being a mentor to elementary kids in various school programs. My family has a small farm just outside of Winlock, WA. My summers are filled with haying fields and helping to maintain our working farm.
