Will Michael '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Will Michael, and I'm currently a sophomore at Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond, Virginia. I have been the starting kicker for Trinity since my freshman year, and I was also the starting punter this past year. I was awarded all-state honors for the past two straight years for my kicking, and was the only freshman in all divisions to earn all state honors last year.  This past season, I helped my team win the first state championship in school history.

I am also academically strong in the classroom. I take all AP and Honors core courses, and maintain a 4.2 GPA even with my demanding athletic schedule.

I am a three sport athlete, and play baseball and basketball for Trinity as well as football. I was the starting shortstop for Varsity baseball as a freshman, and I started every game for my varsity team. I also play basketball, and I am the starting Point Guard for the JV Basketball team. In addition to playing on my high school teams, I travel two hours weekly to my kicking coach throughout the year to maintain my skills as a kicker/punter, and also play on a travel baseball team throughout the year.

Playing on three different high school teams and starting on two varsity teams as a freshman, while maintaining strong academic performance in academically challenging courses, show that I will be able to handle the tough schedule of a college athlete while maintaining high academic achievement. As an all-around athlete and scholar, I believe I would be the perfect fit for any college looking for a hard-working, academically strong athlete who has a demonstrated history of making a significant positive impact on his athletic teams.
