My collegiate goals include:
1. To attend a strong academic university that will provide me the education & experiences to prepare myself for a successful career
2. To continue my football career and to successfully contribute to a football program - continuing to realize and experience the many personal benefits that come from being part of a football TEAM
3. To contribute to the academic program and athletic programs in a positive and influential manner
Athletically, I am a solid candidate for a competitive team at the college level. I have athletic abilities, strength, tremendous football knowledge and experience. My coaches and teammates, past and present, will tell what a great teammate I am. I have been commended on being a hard worker that shows leadership, dedication, and a strong commitment to my teammates and coaches. I am a player that makes plays and gets the job done. I have demonstrated a burst and quickness to the ball and an instinctive ability to read plays and see the ball. I believe I am different because I have a great work ethic and have an intellectual knowledge of the game. I am humble yet demonstrate strong leadership. I put the team first, in front of my individual abilities, talents, and personal desires. I love the game of football, I have loved this game since I started playing at the age of 6.
Academically, the summer prior to my junior year, I focused and worked hard to develop an academic confidence, improved study skills and academic work ethic that has helped me to drive my junior year grades up to above a 3.5. I worked hard this past summer to improve my study skills, and organization and balance of academics, athletics, and caring for my grandparents. I am now part of a student mentor program for kids in 7th grade to help develop these skills in them at an earlier age.
I feel I am a teen of strong character. I love my family, and I have great hardworking friends. I am fortunate to also have many quality mentors that have taught me including past players, coaches, teachers, and my trainer. They help to push me to believe in myself and do the best that I can in whatever I am working at. I am fortunate in many ways, and I am very appreciative to my parents. I am looking forward to my collegiate experience, to continue to grow and experience new things, find and create new opportunities, and contribute to a collegiate program.
