Personal Statement

My name is Eric "EJ" J. Rheinecker Jr.,  I am a current Junior and a lot of my friends call me the “Wizard”,  I am sixteen years old.  Football is my favorite sport,  it's truly the only sport I love! I really push myself to be the best in all aspects of my life.  I love to encourage my teammates to do the same. I enjoy being a part of a team and being a team leader. I would love to be team captain some day. I hope to help my team become state champions this coming season.  I am willing to help offensively and defensively to try and ensure my team and coaches a win.   I also have my own athletic trainer that I train with 6 days a week, and the 7th day I sometimes train with some area lineman coaches, so I can better my physical endurance, strength and skills on the football field.  I am also in track and field and I throw the shot put in the spring. I would really love to break the state record here in Illinois.  I gained my black belt in karate at a young age and hope to return to martial arts training at some point.  I decided that my academics and football would come first. I am currently a Squire, which is the starting point to becoming a Knight, in the Knights  of Columbus. I'm a member of a conservation group called Quail Forever; which helps protect quail so they don't become endangered. I am also an active hunting sportsman and enjoy deer, duck, goose, quail, and pheasant hunting. I enjoy volunteering and have volunteered at Relay for Life Events, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation “Walks to Cure Diabetes” and also at at events with my church and the Knights of Columbus. At present time I am seriously considering studying forensic science to possibly join the Federal Bureau of Investigations.  I really want to make a difference in the world of forensic science and help decrease the crime rate in the U.S.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
