  Hi my name is Victor Horta and I play football at John F. Kennedy High school in Denver, CO. The position I play is Quarterback which I started playing at age 11. But I first started playing football at 6 years old. The sport of football has helped me learn a lot of life lessons like how to manage time between practice and school, being responsible, and being a role model/leader on and off the field. My academic goal for High school is to graduate with a 3.7 or higher. The game of football has taught me how to deal with some of the obstacles I have had to face like maintaining my academics and my commitment to sports. Some good characteristics I have is I always set goals that are hard to reach so i have to work hard and push myself to achieve them. The one dream I have had since I was 6 years old is to play in the NFL and the one goal I want to achieve is to play college football. It doesn't matter where at or what division I just want to play. I started attending the local Football University (FBU) camps since 6th grade with one year of attendance at the FBU Top Gun camp.  I have worked hard everyday and have taught myself that there is no such thing as the "off season" so I can get better and achieve my goals of playing football in college and being the first in my family to attend college and get a degree.
