Kellie Avery '10 Recruiting Profile

My Name is Kellie Avery and I am a Senior at Otay Ranch High School. I am 5'7" and 150lbs. I've been playing field hockey for three years and have played goalie, defense, and forward for my team. My favorite position is defensive back. I have been Varsity captain for two years. Last year the referees in our league gave me a sportsmanship award. I want to go to school on the east coast to experience something different. I am open to any type of school as long as it has my major, chemistry, lots of trees, and field hockey! After college I want to pursue a career in the Criminal Justice field as a Forensic Scientist. In college I think field hockey will open many doors for me. For example, having a group of people you will know and spend a lot of time with is always a good thing in a foreign place. I also want to improve on my game with help from coaches and teammates. Also, I believe that I could bring some California sun to any team!
