Personal Statement

I am focused on and enjoy the challenge of reaching for my goals. Being extremely self-motivated to improve every day in everything I do, is a work ethic I am most proud of. I make every effort to help instill this in my younger brothers as well as the teams my dad coaches, that I help with.

I am very much looking forward to the adventure, the journey to keep practicing & playing the sport I love, the game of baseball for as long as I can while pursuing a challenging degree in my chosen field of study.

As a multi-position player, my passion is pitching in any situation; starting, closing, stop-gap to get out of jams...nothing like coming in to finish on the bump with bases loaded and no outs.

Gordie Gillespie Memorial Showcase

Gordie Gillespie, one of the greatest college baseball coaches in history, passed away at the age of 88 on February 28, 2015 after a long illness. He retired following the 2011 college baseball season after 59 years and a college baseball-best 1,893 coaching victories at the time after coaching baseball teams at Lewis, St. Francis, and Ripon Colleges. The coaching legend amassed 2,402 victories in four sports. Gillespie was inducted into 15 halls of fame and went 55 consecutive years (3,371 contests) without missing a game. We dedicate our Labor Day weekend showcase tournament in his name. I am pitching game 1, field 1 at 10:20 am)

You are part of an elite group of players who has an opportunity to earn a spot on the Chicago White Sox Underclass Area Code Team. The Area Code Underclass Games is the most prestigious and elite underclass event in the nation and will be played in Long Beach, California from August 10 through August 12. Your physical abilities, desire, work ethic and positive attitude are a few of the attributes that contributed to this invitation you received. This invitation to a tryout is the first step of the difficult evaluation process required to make the team representing the Chicago White Sox Underclass Team. Since 1987, the Area Code Games have produced more than 500 Major League Players and the number continues to grow each year.

In 3 inn 4/24 on PG field, K'd 4 upperclassmen, no earned runs, allowed 2 singles. 14th annual Spring Top Prospect Showcase returns to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium (home of the Cedar Rapids Kernels - Minnesota Twins Single-A affiliate) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, April 23-24. The event is designed to provide a spring scouting opportunity when college coaches and professional scouts can see and evaluate players who do not play spring high school baseball, which is the case in Iowa and parts of Wisconsin. Participants traditionally come from all across the upper Midwest.

Through the Hitters Organization, where I play, I also train 3, 4 days per week during the "off" season, in structured programs with certified trainers and coaches. My pitching coach is Cody Winiarski, a Virginia baseball player\graduate from Union Grove, WI. He was drafted and plays for the Chicago White Sox.
